Pros

-Gratis for occassional brand trainings. -Employee discount. -Better starting pay than the competition. -Provided uniform, no need to invest in clothes.

Cons

-Management get the good Gratis. If you're seasonal or part time, don't plan on getting gratis. -Lack of Loss Prevention. Employees are torn between selling to clients and watching known thieves. -Brand trainings and education have dwindled over the years. Clients expect expertise on ALL products, how can you honestly sell something without the adequate knowledge? When brands do come in for trainings, management have not made cast aware ahead of time so there is little to no amount of people to train. -High school drama. Management discourages gossip when employees are well aware management also feeds into it; nor do they discipline employees for doing so. -Favoritism. Management overlooks certain employees calling out or being late repeatedly when others only do so occasionally and get written up. -Store management doesn't support each other. Managers all work individually instead of as a team, communication is broken. Managers always have so much pressure to perform, without the right tools they are not set up for success and this stress filters down to the employees. -Company no longer matches 401K contributions.

Pros

+ monthly training gratis + brand and product training + exposure to working with luxury brands + technology device supplements role

Cons

- unstable hours / unstable income - part-time employee classification has a wide weekly hourly gap (e.g., 15-29 weekly hours) and the availability expectation is that of a full-time (e.g., required to be open 4-5 a week, open to close) - minimal career growth if wanting to become full-time within the same store
