Pros

Remote work, great benefits, good mix of interesting clients, no meetings on Fridays rule, managers are encouraging, everyone wants to learn, teamwork is great and working on clients really is a team effort

Cons

Management is leaving constantly so it's hard to get any type of consistent leadership or training if you need it. Client communications use so many different CMS and restricted document access that it's really a headache, especially after other employees leave. Ditto on the reviews of the CEO being delusional. He would send update videos every Friday telling us that this isn't the place for us unless we're giving 110% and always going above and beyond, and you'd start your weekend feeling like you don't deserve to be employed by anyone. It was soul crushing.

I appreciate your review and wanted to thank you for helping Single Grain grow as a company. Regarding the pros, we do our best to help our team members grow both personally and professionally. That's not to say we are perfect -- your feedback is well received and we are now working on continuing to improve the company. I apologize if you felt like my communication on our core values was harsh -- we do have high expectations for our team members and it is my job to keep us aligned and moving in the same direction. Some people don't necessarily want to work hard, and that is completely fine! But at Single Grain, we want to help people level up to become the best version of themselves so they do great work wherever they end up going long term.

Pros

You learn a lot here, often things you did not even realize you needed to learn. The environment moves very fast and you are exposed to many parts of the business, which forces you to grow quickly. You also work with very smart, capable people, which raises the bar and pushes you to think differently and improve your own skills. The company is very much in an AI-first phase, so everyone is expected to understand and use AI tools in their work. If you do not have AI experience, you will likely not be considered for a role. That said, there is still a lot to learn in this space and you pick up many new skills while working here because AI is integrated into many workflows and people are constantly experimenting and improving how they use it. If you enjoy problem solving, figuring things out as you go, and working in a high pressure environment with deadlines, it can be a great place to develop professionally. The skills you build here are very transferable and you can take what you learn and apply it almost anywhere you go.

Cons

The pace is not for everyone. It is definitely not a clock in clock out type of job. If you are looking for a simple 9 to 5 where you can do the same tasks every day without thinking too hard, this probably is not the right environment. Things move quickly and expectations are very high, which can feel intense if you prefer a slower or more predictable workflow.

Pros

Flexible environment with cool perks and benefits. Onboarding was great. The internal team was great to work with and I learned a lot in my time there.

Cons

Lacks overall direction - are we trying to grow the client base? Are we trying to grow with AI? Are we growing internal tools? I never really knew and often wondered if anymore clients coming on board because I never felt safe in the position no matter what I did. There is absolutely no internal processes BESIDES onboarding. After that, it's a whirlwind of all over the place. Feedback is direct, which is good at times. Other times, just saying "Use AI" might not be the answer.
