Pros
Lots of autonomy. Senior management doesn't micromanage the consultants. Lots of opportunities to work from home. Great bonuses (if you have billable hours to qualify for one).
Cons
In many cases, the company cant keep salaried consultants busy - and if there is a prolonged time on the bench, company switches salaried consultants over to hourly (which means you get paid only when you bill hours). No room for growth. No 401K match.
