Pros

I liked the main people I worked with. The office manager was a really good hearted person. I liked that the job had a variety of task and that you had to be organized to keep up with everything. I like that it kept me busy and on my toes.

Cons

I enjoyed the variety of tasks in my role but it also seemed to be a catch all position that was originally intended to be mostly accounts payable but the person who gets this desk ends up being the main person greeting everyone because your desk is in front, the one expected to answer most phone calls, track, maintain and create all of the safety documents for all locations, Human resources and recruiting, inventory paperwork as well as any lower end tasks other people in the office don’t want to do. Also the pay was not good for the amount they kept adding on and the times school were closed, having to apply for unemployment was a pain and finances were tight.

Pros

My direct coworkers and other onsite employees are amazing and some of the nicest and most welcoming people I’ve ever met. The day to day responsibilities are enjoyable to work on most days. Company phone provided for work communications during work hours (you don’t have to take them home with you) Free meals on shifts worked (with restrictions) “Set schedule”

Cons

Work life balance is not great. You hire on for one position or schedule and then end up being required to perform job duties that are outside of your description on top of your daily responsibilities. Wages are really low. Unfair distribution of allotted overtime hours. Benefits are not good either. Insurance is really expensive for not great coverage. Maternity leave is only 6 weeks and only 60% of your pay covered by short term disability (that you pay for out of pocket until 2 years of service)
