Pros

Amazing co-workers. That’s all there is to say.

Cons

Miscommunication was a constant issue between HQ and retail, with changes being made at the drop of a hat with no warning or game plan. Poor retail leadership—never empowered employees to make decisions that would better the business and hundreds of good ideas went in the garbage. Good work went unnoticed (despite “gratitude” being a Stance core value), but one hiccup and you’re receiving a call from leadership. Ultimately the brand is hollow, preaching creativity and uniqueness but forcing all of their retail employees into the same box and baiting the with promises of promotions or connections, ultimately wasting so much raw talent by not paying any attention to the people on the ground. But then again, what more can you expect from a brand run by rich, white men?

Pros

Lots of innovative talent, team work, and great ammenities for letting off steam!

Cons

The fact the Stance HQ is wrapped in the typical SoCal lifestyle amenities (full indoor, NBA basketball court, on-site gym/trainer, skate ramp, surf lockers and both outdoor and indoor showers for après surf can lead one to believe that this is not a serious business environment, but it is! If you do your job as you should, you'll love this place.

Pros

The culture was great, product was easy to sell. Very simple onboarding process. And corp team seemed very minimal, so communication was efficient and we usually got a quick response.

Cons

Very simple business model and they seemed to be ensuring the success of E-comm over physical stores - which evnetually led to the company/licensing being sold and all stores shutting down.
