I worked in the Accounting department for over 4 years. One day out of the blue, I was called into the office of my boss with my boss’s boss as well when I was told I was fired because of my “performance.” Since I had never been reprimanded, always had positive annual reviews and no one ever complained about my performance, I was completely blindsided and utterly shocked. I started asking questions about what specifically they were talking about in regards to my performance. I got nothing in return, zero answers. So I kept pressing about it because I knew that was not the real reason until my boss’s boss stated, “I’m not going to do this with you.” And abruptly walked out of the office. That’s the respect I got after working there for 4 and a half years with no issues whatsoever. I absolutely loved my job there and would never have done anything to jeopardize it.
