Pros

Good mission, and flexible working hours

Cons

Don't pay their interns and treat them worse then their regular workers. They have fun trips but only take the main staff. No conventions or guidelines for the projects and most of it is an unorganized mess since they often only use there interns to create the actual apps, besides a couple hired devs. The management doesn't see the potential of the Dev team and feels like an afterthought. Games are often quantity over quality.

Pros

When I first joined, SyncVR was a really exciting start up to work at. Like many startups, it told you that you were going to be a part of something big in a family environment and that you'd have to work hard, but would be rewarded for it. It resulted in me working overtime for the company and taking on incredibly large projects.

Cons

Management doesn't understand how to run a company. When I first joined the organization, they had very poor infrastructure- failed to have clear KPI's for the sales team, no clear promotion structure, not even accurate monthly forecasts, or any monthly forecasts for that matter. Management failed to implement them until a few months before I left. Management also struggles with personal boundaries- often encouraging team members to share beds or stay in hostels during sales trips to save money. CEO micromanages to a high degree and struggles to set clear plans for the organization. Instead of working smarter, work just gets piled on the employees and they're asked consistently to work smarter. Goals are set without any data in mind. Also, the company functioned without an actual HR department for several months. The constant push to work hard and break rules is likely to land this organization in serious legal trouble in the future. While this was fine when the company was an early stage startup- their inability to invest in their employees and build actual infrastructure is going to prevent them from growing.

Pros

Working with my coworkers of the People and Culture team was an absolutely wonderful experience. Both my coworkers were positive, supportive, and energizing. They were both allowing for flexibility but also encouraged taking ownership over new ideas.

Cons

I think there could have been more cooperation between multiple departments.
