Pros
Robust global telecom infrastructure Syniverse connects nearly all mobile carriers worldwide, processing over a trillion messages and 5.5 exabytes of data annually across ~200 countries . It supports advanced services like 5G roaming, CPaaS, A2P messaging, and IoT. Some roles (especially junior or technical) need flexible hours, hybrid work policies, and manageable stress . If you're lucky and get placed in some good team, you can have good time else layoff happens every quarter.
Cons
1. Frequent reorganization & layoffs. No stability of career. Even if it's management fault, you're the one going to take the heat because manager doesn't have any idea what's going on. Syniverse undergoes annual restructuring and layoffs, creating a sense of job insecurity. 2. Management & career growth concerns Worst leadership after 2023 org restructuring. Favorism is the first quality of manager here. So choose on your risk. 3. Legacy systems & outdated tech. No new technologies are being used. At time of interview they'll say that they are using latest technologies but in reality it's Java 5 and Grails Some teams still work with antiquated platforms, despite recent efforts toward digital transformation. 4. Inconsistent work-life balance While some roles enjoy flexibility, others need to log in on weekends if you're not favourite to your manager 5. Data-security breach concerns A significant breach from 2016–2021 exposed sensitive customer data, including metadata and possibly SMS content.
