Pros
You’re quickly thrown into the deep and and get up to speed with all activity and project involvement.
Good social atmosphere.
Cons
Harassment, bullying, and intimidation are management techniques frequently used, with those responsible being protected by the business when challenged.
There are a lot of senior managers / directors who are in roles despite having no experience or training, suggestive of the poor people skills (some of whom have no idea what they’re asking for).
Starting salaries can be good, but it’s near impossible to get any compensation benefit once through the door, despite good performance. Most promotions are title-only.
WFH policy is not consistent either. Some teams are 1-person, yet they need to travel a great distance to sit in the office alone, yet other teams seem to pick and choose their own days, which seems to be fine.
