Pros

I guess if you really need a job, and they are offering, getting a salary is a 'pro'. But thats a low bar, and sadly a consistent paycheck is the best the company can offer. It is possible for a few to earn well quickly here, though the circumstances required to achieve this can neither be planned, easily explained, or aimed for in any clear fashion.

Cons

Demoralising. Stressful. Lack of support. Demanding. Unrewarding. Mandatory "voluntary" overtime. These are a few of the highlights this company offers. The people who manage to last longest in this company are generally the ones who are lucky enough to be sent to customer sites on long-term projects. If they are doubly-lucky, they might actually benefit by learning from the more senior staff they might be working with. But sharing of knowledge in TQS itself was cumbersome and inefficient. And less senior staff were often left floundering without the skills or direction needed to complete tasks. The head office itself cultivates a cheerless, oppressive environment. Although the people I worked with were generally diligent workers and friendly, there was a awareness that all happenings (outside of work performance) were being closely monitored and judged. All extra effort on the part of the employees was taken for granted, with little recognition for going above an beyond- that was just expected of people wordlessly. It is sterile. It is impersonal. And it is in Lismore. Overtime was generally unpaid. Time in lieu to compensate was supposedly on offer, but clearly discouraged. Holidays were difficult to plan due to poor management refusing to guarantee days even when booking weeks in advance (in case something came up). Basically it is a hodgepodge disaster of all the worst kind of management practices I have ever come across. In summary, this company doesn't truly want employees. It begrudgingly hires them to fill places on sites so it can charge huge fees to have bodies sitting at desks somewhere. If the employees actually learn enough to be useful along the way, that's an added bonus. It's not surprising then, that employees are treated as if they should be grateful, simply for the chance to be part of a lucritive industry that promises many future prospects, even at the expense of their personal time and freedom. Let ye be warned: you won't find those prospects here.
