Pros

Team is dedicated to the company mission

Cons

Leadership doesn't listen to employees. They waste money and have no basis for growth strategy. The team told the CEO for months to grow more cautiously and no one listened. They laid off staff by November. Lots of senior members of leadership left, and HR is trying but it's obvious we have no trustworthy plan for growth. The company has no money and the CEO is flying by the seat of his pants.

Hi, This is Greg, COO of GreenBiz. Thank you for sharing your feedback with us. We appreciate your acknowledgment of our team's dedication to our mission. We respectfully disagree with your assessment regarding the lack of a growth strategy. We are proud of the strategy we developed that delivered double-digit year-on-year growth in 2023, and the continued growth we are experiencing for 2024. Unfortunately we did miss our Q4 revenue targets last year that did require layoffs -- a situation that many similar companies faced last year that was very challenging for the talented and committed people who were affected. But it was a necessary decision to ensure a sustainable future for our company and allow us to continue to deliver on our mission. We understand the importance of listening to our employees and we are committed to fostering open communication. We encourage you to reach out directly to HR, your manager or our leadership to discuss your concerns further if you feel comfortable doing so.

Hi there, This is Nick from the People & Culture team. Thank you so much for sharing your experience with us. I absolutely agree about the best-in-class coworkers. So happy to hear that you gained valuable experience with room for learning and development—that is our ultimate goal for anyone at Trellis Group. I also appreciate your honest input on the challenges that come with working in a smaller organization, especially one that has a unique nature in media & events. We recognize the potential for burnout during peak times and are continuously looking for ways to support our team during these periods. Finding the right balance for our team in an ever-changing landscape is a priority, and your feedback reinforces the importance of this focus. Thank you again for your thoughtful insights—they help us grow and improve!
