Pros

A lot of people in the office have actually worked as carers so have some sense of the realities of the job.

Cons

They don’t care about your life at all. They don’t care about your health. They don’t care. They charge clients 1000 and you get 600 before tax a WEEK. It’s an unhealthy work that is generally undertaken by people with much fewer employment options who are foreign and therefor have a skewed sense of what is reasonable work here. Honestly how can you have a life and do this work? You can’t. There is no regulation to your work schedule. 1 week of work then weeks off nothing available then 6 weeks straight and you can’t turn it down because you need the money by then. 6 weeks with no day off stuck in somebodies home in the middle of no where suburbia. Not enough notice given about work. Mistakes made about dates that have huge consequences to you and a client and barely an apology from them. Being sent hours and hours away from your home even if you can’t drive.

Pros

Got to meet some lovely clients and their families

Cons

Didn’t get paid near enough for the time and work put in. They advertise the pay falsely. No room for growth.
