Pros
Good place to get international exposure and contracts. You work with global clients and distributed teams, which helps you grow fast. There are talented people in some teams and you can learn a lot depending on the project you’re assigned to.
Cons
Lack of stability and unclear internal processes. There is a heavy reporting culture with multiple overlapping reports that are rarely used effectively. Leadership often asks for higher performance but does not consistently make decisions based on data. Even top contributors can be impacted by layoffs while underperforming individuals remain. Promises around support, feedback, or recommendations are not always followed through, even in situations where layoffs are company-driven. During layoffs, compensation handling can feel unfair, including partial payments or unexpected deductions. Contractors may face limitations when pursuing opportunities with similar companies due to internal partnerships or agreements. This is not clearly communicated, and in my case I only became aware of it through my own research. It can significantly limit career growth and access to new opportunities. Many companies will not hire you if you previously work for TL because of internal agreements.
