Tenured staff treat some newer staff poorly, with a clear lack of understanding of employees' functions supporting a company that deals with data. There seems to be some senior management tension, and it trickles down. Senior Management has favorites that get away with aggressive tactics and not collaborating well with others. Competition for few opportunities. General lack of trust. Seems to come from senior management. Middle management does a lot of work, management, administrative, hands-on, etc. Asked to jump through endless hoops with no acknowledgement. Many exhausted faces. Finger-pointing and blame makes employees risk-adverse always trying not to be blamed. Ideas for real improvements get shot down. More focus on low value work. Endless amount of manual admin work that could be automated. Retirement options (pension) slowly getting cut. The list goes on.
