Pros
Top-notch sales executives that care about community, clients, and their industry. Oh yeah, the parking is free.
Cons
Management is a real mixed bag. Competent management is let go whereas sycophants, legal liability-types and the inexperienced are at the helm. The CEO, owners and other members of corporate management frequently come to town but hold off-site meetings to avoid employees with questions or concerns. Products, services and strategies are formulated in Pennsylvania and thrust down upon WWSB whether or not they are a good fit for the market or if there is sufficient personnel to execute the "new" strategy. Even better, they pull the plug on people and projects they initiate without support. No training or even handouts accompany new initiatives leaving employees to grope in the dark for a considerable amount of time before they even comprehend what it is they're supposed to be selling. The latest fiasco is starting a "Digital Agency" that distracts current sellers and robs competency from other parts of the organization. This "Agency" is nothing more than another dysfunctional department already suffering from turnover, inadequate support and failed leadership at every level of the company. No one knows what they are doing, who reports where, how to get an ad order processed, or where the reports should be coming from. After a period of very poor service, one manager was relocated to Sarasota but without an improvement in results. No one still has input into strategy or any idea what it's going to be until the boulder is already rolling down hill and knocking sales productivity over like bowling pins.
