      Pros

      The inside sales employees are awesome. Training was fun! You can choose when you work as long as you are in before 9 am and out by 6 pm. You can even work four 9s and a 4. The company has great values and expects everyone to live by them. Very realistic and motivating talk time, outbound call, and sales quotas. Everyone on the inside sales team hit their quota last month! Also, your numbers roll over into the next month if you are over quota, I mean come on, is that not great?! We have stand up desks, there is a free gym and on-site cafe (not free) and a good 401k match. There is potential to make a lot of money!

      Cons

      You will be micro-managed, even if they tell you they are hands off (even if you are hitting your numbers). One of the sales managers is out to get everyone on the other sales team fired. Management will sit with the team everyday and call out people that have 0s on the board regardless of their overall numbers. No free snacks (I mean at least get some goldfish or something lol). Medical is over $900 a month for families their first year. Low commission rate and bonuses (although there is some potential to make a lot of money with certain requirments). You are not allowed to leave campus on the clock, even if you take less than 10 minutes and you will be watched. Very traditional culture compared to other tech companies.

      Thank you for your review. We are a very data-driven organization and we prioritize metrics to help the sales team achieve their goals. When a metric is off, we do sit with the team and coach to help them be successful. I'm sorry you viewed that as micromanagement. The sales team is over 130% attainment YTD and this coaching is one of the reasons why. We're sorry you didn't have a good experience with us, but we certainly wish you the best in your future endeavors.

      ZipLocal is a great place to work. The team culture is one of the best parts of the job — everyone is friendly, supportive, and genuinely fun to work with. Coworkers are consistently in a good mood, which creates a positive and energetic environment. It’s clear that people enjoy what they do, and that enthusiasm is contagious. Collaboration comes naturally, and it’s easy to feel like part of a close-knit group.
