Pros

the CTO seemed like a super nice guy, holding that house of cards together. Some other devs seem genuine nice

Cons

I worked in Alatest for less than a day. It's always a good lunch or party conversation to talk about that experience. During my first morning there, I was introduced to the notorious "Company Culture Guide " document . I won't disclose what was written in it, but let's just say after going through those 13 pages I wanted to vomit and my mind was made that accepting that job was a mistake. I'm aware of my skills and what I can accomplish and I did not study hard my entire life to end up working in a place like this. I'd rather be flipping burgers on mac donalds. That document screamed "micromanagement", "lack of respect for others", "lack of empathy" all over. I then went for lunch and decided I'd use the rest of my day to see how their routine was. All I saw was a tense environment, quiet, people rushing to do things quickly and more than once I felt my future colleagues were looking over their shoulder to the CEO's room while having a casual conversation with me, you know...to get to know their new colleague. Until one finally interrupted our conversation and said: "sorry, I should go back to my desk, otherwise Im gonna hear it from the boss". That was the confirmation I was waiting to be 100% I had made the right decision to leave it. The rest of the day I just felt sad by seeing what these people have to go through Next day I went there just to be civil and out of respect communicate the CTO and CEO of my decision and why. CTO was super understanding and wished me luck. CEO wanted to embark on an arguing with me, insisting I would explain my choices on why I thought it wasn't a match place for me, just to proceed and try to justify everything. I did not give room to prolong that pointless argument. I wished him luck, extended my hand to shake his. He just turned his back and left. For you who are reading this and considering going to an interview there: don't go. No matter how desperate you are, you will find something better. ANYTHING is better. You need to lack a lot of self respect to be able to work in that place

Pros

Nice and friendly engineer colleagues.

Cons

Daily attendance is required in the office. Employees are required to track their working hours by clocking in and out. Overtime work exceeding 8 hours cannot be converted into vacation days. A minimum daily presence of one hour is required. A Swedish employee suggested adopting a more Swedish work culture approach to the CEO. Then his employment was terminated immediately and just before Christmas. The CTO is very enthusiastic about becoming a personal trainer. The code quality is very fragile in this company as no engineers will stay there for more than 2-3 years. The accountant and HR are not interested in building relationships with engineers since engineers won’t stay for long.
