Change Is Not Always Better...

Pros

Depending on the manager, schedule can be semi-flexible. Pay, while not top grade, is not bad, again provided you have a manager willing to fight for you for a decent raise. Yearly bonuses (I can see these possibly going away with the new regime in place).

Cons

Wow...where to start. There is a saying that says the grass isn't always greener on the other side. This is certainly the case with Entertainment Partners and their massive shakeup of the company in the interests of becoming more profitable. After hiring a CTO (a company first) and the acquisition of Ease, it has been nothing but confusion, calamity, and chaos. Both of these events wouldn't be a problem if A) they had actually hired a CTO that was semi-competent and B) they had actually thought through the buyout for more than 10 minutes. As always happens when one company buys another, some people are going to need to be let go. But it would have been nice if they had actually thought about whom to let go so teams were not completely decimated by the losses. And this is the continuing problem with EP: require top results but don't give the resources needed to complete the job. Or in this case, simply take them away. Then when upper management demands to know why deadlines or goals are not met, the head hunting begins and there's always a sacrificial lamb. Just pray it's not you. You know it's bad when the company holds all-hands meetings and warns that no dissension will be tolerated. The phrase used was "you're either in or your out". Yes...you've made that abundantly clear. If you like being continuously frustrated, overworked, and enjoy the challenge of dodging the knives constantly coming for your back, by all means, apply today. If you like career opportunities and growth...look elsewhere.

Unstable and unsafe

Pros

Decent pay and ok benefits.

Cons

EP has gone from a helpful and hopeful culture to one of instability and fear. No one feels safe in their jobs anymore and it is "anyone's guess" whether you will have a job, even if you are good at it. The $100mm acquisition of Ease was a huge waste of money to basically buy Scenechronize and some modern databases...and justify lay offs. The ESOP is a con as no employee has any say what happens to that money or how it is managed. The "surveys" are monitored by management even though they say otherwise, and managers are directed to post positive reviews here on Glassdoor to stack the deck. Disingenuous is the new norm at EP.

First, thank you for such direct feedback. EP views the acquisition of Ease as a way to leverage the strengths of both organizations and a win for our customers. The change that arises out of an acquisition can take time to settle as new structures and processes take shape. Second to clarify, an ESOP is a retirement tool giving ownership to employees; it does not give control to employees. It is meant as a way to save for one’s future after Entertainment Partners. Employees can affect the value of this retirement tool by the contribution and attitude they bring to work every day. Finally, we are not sure what you mean by surveys are monitored. We have no desire to track results back to an individual as it is the overall results that are of interest. If you have information that demonstrates otherwise, please let us know.

Pros

Absolutely nothing...worst place to work

Cons

In the most in uncompassionate way possible they laid off over 100 employees today. Many amazingly talented employees. Granted there were many that needed to go but WOW the lack of humanity or compassion extended to those they let go even astounds those of us that no how bad this place was prior to the sale.
