Excel Micro Reviews

The incentive plan is really bad in new business and bonuses and percent of commission are laughable for the amount of work thats thrown on you. They also are a distributor which is fun at a glance cause you get to work with many companies and build relationships with many large vendors but Excel Micro and J2 global also own competitive products like Fusemail/VIPRE. They steer the sales ppl from doing their job and instead of offering the customer the best products for them and thier company and thier customers your forced to steer them twords their own products by any means necessary even going as far as making the quarterly bonus soley based off of their products again steering customers to their products which is just terrible business and in this business customers pick up on it from time to time. As far as the managemenet it honestly cant get any worse and is the reason so many people are fleeing from Excel Micro in just 2 months 10+ employees have left Excel Micro leaving a very thin sales and support staff causing much stress for those still left. The management and corporate on the otherhand just think everything is fine when a large portion of the staff is fleeing and many more looking to get out ASAP! I made the mistake of going to HR even though i was told by my direct manager in the past if i went to HR on an issue id be walked out but I had to speak up to my managers bully tactics and just awful management skills all around with any issue presented to him would be followed up by threatning to fire one of the best preformers with 0 write ups. HR did absolutley nothing but have me work from home for almost 3 weeks then brought me back to tell me they have a quota to hit and that they couldnt get in to detail on MY HR case for privacy reasons but my privacy didnt matter at all as the whole office knew making it incredibly tough for me and my colleagues some of which even apologizing for being forced to give me the cold shoulder. It was just an incredibly hostile situation most of the time at this place we had armed security brought in twice while i was there because of poor hirings and not thoroughly checking backgrounds. I can go on for days about this but stay tuned because i will be very public about all of this crooked companies well documented bs over the next few months!

I came to Excel Micro wanting to develop my own opinion on the company verses what I was reading via Google search. Sadly, the negative views were spot on. Poor management and lack of support towards the sales team. This company is part of a larger organization called J2 Global. Clearly Excel Micro is looked at as a non priority. I would say if you work here, take their money and run.
