Pros

Not like a normal ER.

Cons

Employees stopped being cared about. they keep asking for more with no compensation. They eliminated our managers. They lied. they are too big for their own good.

Pros

3 day 12-hour work week Mostly low stress work environment Teamwork among employees $50 ER copay for employee and family members covers labs, CT's, etc.

Cons

No shift/weekend differential for Radiology techs (although RN's and medics receive it) Abrupt policy changes to require more weekends (with NO shift diff) Little opportunity for OT Lower pay than hospital-based ER Poor communication from the corporate level

Pros

great coworkers who are like family because you see them so much, slow paced work usually, new equipment, nice facilities, they truly care for their patients

Cons

politics.. they're so bad here, it's literally the last freestanding ER anyone wants to be at now.. everyone I know who still works at FC wants to leave, they stopped seeing family and employees at no cost, the turnover rate is ridiculous.. they constantly have employees coming and going, it's so corporate now you don't feel like you can breathe, no night/weekend differentials for anyone in front office (our weekends obviously don't mean as much) and lower pay than other free standings, no way to really 'move up'
