Pros

- Team members are genuinely nice people and are wonderful to work with. - Hybrid working (however the business is inflexible with which days you can work from home, Thursday and Friday are the only options). - Good central London office location.

Cons

- Well below industry standard pay for many of the roles, and I have witnessed senior management say that they want to pay employees as little as possible. - Bad communication from senior management who often seem like they don’t know what they are doing. Mid/lower level employees are frequently left trying to understand the logic behind bizarre requests and piecing together vague information in order to fulfil their responsibilities. - Extremely high turnover in the team due to low salaries, lack of progression and poor management. HR and senior management do absolutely nothing to address this, and it is clear they have no concept of the importance staff retention has on the success of the business. The digital team has lost many talented employees due to the business' lack of attention. - There is one questionable senior manager in the digital team who contributes very little to the business but somehow avoids being called out. Meanwhile the members of her team work incredibly hard despite the lack of leadership and support and don’t get the recognition they deserve. - The business has a set of core values that it expects its employees to adopt, however continually fails to live up to these values itself which is very disappointing. - Limited opportunities for career progression and development, no bonuses, no salary reviews, no perks, no flexibility, no real incentives for employees to want to put in the effort to help the business achieve more, or to bother staying at the business at all. A truly uninspiring company culture.

Pros

Very little to share, even the discount is less than other retailers

Cons

My manager was a horrible bully who made my working life miserable. I was moved from a category I loved into another area I had zero interest in so that someone else could be promoted instead of me. My manager didn’t even have the manners to tell me nor did she bother to contact me on my last day. A truly toxic environment full of people who have worked there too long and have no grasp on the world outside Fenwick. Their behaviour wouldn’t be accepted in any other business. I have never been so happy to leave a job for a promotion that I deserved and should have been mine three years earlier. The salaries are poor and expectations ridiculous.
