      Pros

Great legacy from FireEye, Mandiant and iSight. Brilliant CEO, Competitive compensation. There used to be a lot more pros...

      Cons

The company is too generous to keep some of time and money wasters. HR is as bad as Oracle. Not yet successful in their transformation

      Pros

FireEye used to be one of the best companies in the cybersecurity.

      Cons

      - There is a clear divide between Mandiant and FireEye with people from Mandiant feeling that they are superior in every sense. - They have bee going through layoff cycles almost every quarter for three years. - There is no job security. -Upper Management has no idea how to revive the company to its former glory. - Upper Management seems to be doing just enough to stay afloat until some other company buys them - All of the applicants, please STAY AWAY! Come to Fireeye only if you are desperate and have nowhere else to go.

FireEye Product Leadership is missing and misleading

      Pros

Smart people in security industry. Lots of talented people who care about customers. Decent pay.

      Cons

Since STG announcement FireEye Product business is constantly losing good people. Leadership gives lip service about possibilities ahead but doesn’t hire replacement. EVP and other leadership is losing trust among rank and file. Almost every team is operating below critical mass and leadership preaches about possibilities rather than hiring people. Shouting XDR acronym will not generate revenue. Keeping butts in the seats will.

Great several years ago, but time to get out

      Pros

Good pay and benefits, had opportunity to work with and learn from extremely talented and professional coworkers, valuable experience gained.

      Cons

FireEye has somehow managed to combine the disorder and chaos of a startup with the monolithic inflexibility of a large corporation. This is the most heavily siloed company I have ever seen. There are massive logistical problems that never get resolved because separate departments are incapable of collaborating effectively. This may be related to an increasingly toxic management culture that heavily prioritizes immediate numbers over practical long-term strategy. Managers frequently tout career mobility while simultaneously working to obstruct employees from advancing outside of their departments. The workload constantly increases year after year as more products and higher expectations are added, problems that make the work needlessly complicated and difficult never get addressed, and employees are increasingly treated as disposable. FireEye's time has come and gone, and there are much better opportunities at other cybersecurity companies.
