Hello Anonymous Reviewer,
We are sincerely committed to diversity and making Firmex better each and every day. We encourage the Team to bring forth new ideas or concerns, whether that is to your manager in weekly/bi-weekly one on ones, to the Executive Team or to the HR Team, we all have an open door policy. It is disheartening to hear that you felt otherwise as we are continually pushing ourselves to learn and grow. Firmex is a welcoming environment for all types of diversity and we want to keep it that way.
We empower Firmex employees by giving them the tools to create change. Our employee-led initiatives such as Firmex Empowering Equality was formed in 2015 to raise awareness of equality in our workplace and what we can do as an organization to keep pushing the bar for change. Our representation of Women on the Development Team continues to climb, currently representing 22% of the Team (Facebook 17%, Microsoft 18%, Google 19%, Apple 23%). We still have more work to do to create an equal gender balance but we are on our way!
We keep a pulse on the market and do our best to remain competitive, and we certainly do promote from within (14.44% of employees have been promoted in the last 6 months, this is my favourite part of the job!).
We are truly sorry you have felt this way, as this goes against everything we strive to be at Firmex. If you would like to discuss further, please reach out to me directly as we value your opinion and are open to change.
Best regards,
Sarah Fulton
Director, Human Resources
