Pros

Don't believe any of the positive reviews. Working here has been one of the most exhausting and unrewarding experiences I have ever had, and I regret ever working here. If you're considering applying for a position at First Credit Union, forget about it.

Cons

Salary is too low for how much work employees are expected to do. There isn't much room for growth, and employees aren't given a lot of opportunities to advance, either. You're practically signing up to be overworked and exploited.

Terrible pay and management

Pros

Health insurance plans are good, facilities are nice.

Cons

So many inconsistencies that make you feel like you don’t know your job from one day to the next - it’s draining. Management will have tone with you that will make you not want to ask questions. Pay is terribly low for the amount of work expected and management will not fight for an increase for you. Your feedback will be encouraged but then pushed to the side, or better yet, you’re told why your feedback is wrong - I’m sure the response given to this review will prove this point. They don’t listen to or care about current employees, they’d just rather hire new ones. Some company policies are ridiculous, like having to give 3 days notice for an absence to be excused. How is someone supposed to know they’re going to be sick 3 days in advance? Many goals set are unattainable but even if you to meet or surpass them, you’re not recognized. You’ll leave here feeling undervalued, unappreciated, and wondering why you stayed as long as you did.

Pros

Working here means taking life lessons on what kind of managers not to be when you have people working under you.

Cons

The managers are awful human beings. They take credit for your hard work and get rewarded with a huge bonus. Employees get the blame for everything that goes wrong, whether they are at fault or not. Working here will make you terribly miserable as the horrible tale has no happy ending. You will be scolded daily and appreciated rarely. It was insane.
