Pros
- save student lives! - fully remote work; they send you what you need to succeed! - great coworkers - flexible pto (they stay pretty true to this but many coworkers justify not using time because they can’t afford to travel/ do anything)
Cons
- Pay is below market value. Most analysts have side hustles to survive. This should not be the case when your entire product depends on the safety analyst function (while priding itself on having human review as a BIG drive of customer success) - Constant surveillance on safety analysts; does not really align with CEOs stance on “letting people do their job without micro managing them”. While most of the surveillance functions are to justify decision making and collect stats, you have to find another way you balance this as to not make your employees uncomfortable. - Not a ton of growth to be done here. Constant management changes does not necessarily help this, but if the pay doesn’t justify the role, do we expect people to stay long term? It’s ALWAYS about the money.
