Pros

I found in the company people you can count on with your eyes closed, people who love to share their knowledge and who will want to be part of their world. The company's vision is beautiful, helping people is something noble.

Cons

Unfortunately, in addition to the vision and the hardworking people, from the moment you enter the door, irregularities appear. Although they are beautifully packaged, they come out in time.The company promotes a lot of the spirit of equality, internationally, but you hardly make room if you don't speak German. Coming from a foreign country, I was easily categorized as "an east European woman", which is why I have to accept my condition. Although the company strongly promotes non-discrimination, certain remarks by certain managers make you think twice before saying that. Many times the company is not stable in statements, easily moving from one statement to another, exciting employees - but what remains is the enthusiasm, because they change their minds super fast.If they make a mistake, they are too proud to apologize and to the employees who honestly tell them the reality, they have no mercy to drown their voices.

Pros

cool nice events by people team modern and nice tech and tools transparent budget and revenue in all hands

Cons

salaries are not competitive not sure why senior engineers leave constantly and mangement dont try to fix this no or little motivation to work in many of teams "do this or else" mindset arguments and disagreement with people close management results in people disappearing suddenly... we dont hear from those people and no clue what happens

Thanks for your feedback. We will discuss your points internally and try to our best to improve. Especially the motivation of our teams is extremely important to us. We try the best to measure the current ”pulse” in the team by using Peakon as an anonymous feedback tool and sharing the results publicly. We want to react fast and change the status-quo where needed. Regarding salaries, we do a salary benchmarking every year to stay competitive in the Berlin market. Every person leaving the company is mentioned transparently in our all-hands meeting. We don’t share any exact reason, because we value each persons' privacy more.

- Good office location - Good office furniture

Cons

- Lots of promises and PR, but in fact, everything is very deplorable. - The company is going through hard times. But rather than admit this, the company blames the current employees and believes that someone new will come and magically make everything perfect. - The company doesn't provide any personal development plan. You will be only pushed to deliver more and more new features. - Managers actively use micromanagement. Employee performance is often assessed by the number of closed tickets in Jira. As a result - very high staff turnover. - Team leads cannot provide clear requirements for promotion. You need to "surprise" your team lead to be promoted to the next level.

We always try to improve ourselves as a company and value every feedback. We appreciate that you liked our office and interior. Although we mainly work from home during the pandemic, we still try to offer the best working environment possible. At HeyJobs we implemented a mandatory personal development per employee, which is updated two times a year together with the direct manager. We always aim to offer a long term perspective for each individual in our team. In engineering we use Jira and git as well as our OKR system to organize and visualize our work. Which should help every employee to do their best and to showcase success.
