Pros

-This company attracts the best talent because it expects the best from its employees. -Colleagues are intelligent and forward-thinking, which allows for efficient collaboration and true teamwork. -Professional atmosphere is conducive to high productivity and skill development. -President is passionately ambitious and in this company, and similarly invested in the employees. -Team affiliation and company incentives create exciting opportunities to show initiative and be successful. -There is equality and mutual support in this position; everyone is happy to help and offer sound advice and guidance. -Perks of working here include exotic coffees to fuel success, bagels, lunches, and casual Friday's. -Work / Life balance is a reality

Cons

-Because Hunter is recognized as a premier recruiting agency, the bar for success is set incredibly high and sometimes requires longer working days and extra effort - but this in turn is a positive. -The recruiting industry is very competitive and relies heavily on outside correspondence (independent of Hunter) which is not always consistent. The growth of this company lends itself to opening the door for more human resource development and truly autonomous hiring. The sky is the limit with Hunter. -Longer commute, but audiobooks and podcasts help (The Minimalists, Startalk Radio, Good Mythical Morning Ear Biscuits) -Snow in Ohio

Pros

Minimal, the only positive experience I had was working with my team.

Cons

When hired, I couldn’t have been more eager - and the first 30 days were amazing. I came to work and left work excited. I heard rumors of the toxicity within the company - my manager even warned to “not pay attention to the turnover”, as 3 people quit in my first 3 weeks. That should have been a sign. The “Honeymoon Phase” ending on the 31st day. The CEO and COO are greedy & quite frankly don’t understand the industry that their business runs off of. They are unfathomably inflexible & PTO policies aren’t consistent & are boarder-line unethical. I have never experienced such micromanagement - it was laughable. There was also so much ambiguity with the compensation plan & you would be penalized by having hybrid privileges revoked simply by discussing the compensation model. Upper management constantly plays musical chairs, moving you around the office. You can cut the tension with a knife & feel the uneasiness within the building.
