Pros

Nothing, literally nothing. Staff were leaving before my first day!

Cons

Quite possibly the worst place I’ve worked and I’ve worked for some questionable companies. There is zero chance of progression here (unless they’re short staffed and have to) which is always done begrudgingly. There seems to be a toxic work culture here, a lot of cliques- mostly management. I’ve seen about 20 people join and leave within a week or so, some their first day… which says it all. I would go as far as to say a bully-like culture is present here, not your typical bullying but it’s apparent if they don’t like you as it’s spoken about openly in the office where most of management hide. Don’t bother relying support from these said “managers”. Most are in it for themselves and will throw you under any chance they get… The company promotes work-life balance but that isn’t the case, be prepared to be guilt tripped into working extra or staying longer, receive negative messages on your days off and annual leave. Unfortunately the pay isn’t reflective for the expectation of the role. The expectation of work they ask of you is borderline delusional, given the fact there’s no staff, it’s expected you work more than you should or risk this being used against you in performance reviews. Personally, if you see a job advertised here… apply elsewhere.

Management don’t care

Pros

Great colleagues at the lower levels. Duty managers are good. Social life and in work banter are great. Probably work with some of the best people you’ll meet. My colleagues having quickly become best friends

Cons

The wage is awful. The conditions are awful. Management above duty managers have no care for you or what you have to say. Promotions aren’t awarded on merit they are awarded on how friendly you are with senior management. Little to no recognition for hard work and often get left on your own when dealing with difficult customers. They have very little care for welfare of staff getting us working ridiculously long hours with few days off in order to cut costs
