Integral Molecular isn't VC-backed so can't compete with biotech start-up salaries. The trade-off is roles are much more stable and aren't prone to lay-offs. Integral Molecular tends to reward loyalt

Pros

-Monthly salary was just barely enough to make a living wage -Great co-workers who appreciated humor -Occasional free snacks -An all genders private bathroom

Cons

-Every team is a skeleton crew. -No transparency or communication from supervisors, lots of high school-like cliqueyness and office politics, and constant shifts in workflow depending on how supervisors feel per week. -Upper management does not believe in adequately training personnel even though the largest team in the company is supposed to comply with ISO 9001 standards. They keep trapping themselves in a cyclical hire-then-fire pattern hoping to find perfect unicorns to throw straight into the frontlines. -Both upper and middle management cares more about advertising to customers and appealing to the latter's demands than the wellbeing and growth of their employees. They also set people up for failure and are willing to throw anyone under the bus to cover their own mistakes. -Immediate rollbacks at the beginning of 2025 on DEI initiatives, safety team efforts, budgeting on food, and even basic supplies which all coincided with aftermath of the presidential election.
