- Current Contractor, more than 3 years★★★★★
Pros
Easy to learn the basics of the job
Cons
Poor management sometimes and communication. Also a little Micro managed

Pros
- it is what you make it - lots of free time to learn new skills/study (highly recommend you do this to get out of interac/get a better job asap) - teaching can be super fun with the right class - nearly a month off for summer (august)
Cons
- low pay - no yearly bonuses like with most japanese companies - augmented work hours to keep you from true full time working hours (you're physically at school for ~8+ hours five days a week, aka 40 hours but you're only paid for 29.5 hours). its so that they dont have to split health/pension pay with their employees. this has nothing to do with the people that you would be in constant contact with though, this is all upper (like tokyo HQ head honcho/dont speak english in an english focused company upper) management stuff. Even the prefecture managers dont get paid well for the work they do.

Good starting point
5 Sep 2022 - English Instructor in Ōsaka, OsakaRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
Easy starting job in Japan Good Training for the job Helpful getting you set up in Japan
Cons
Low salary You are easily replaceable You will not get a raise They will not help you relocate if your school closes and will let you go with very little warning (happened to a few friends, they didn't have time to relocate or find new jobs)
- Former Employee, more than 5 years★★★★★
Pros
Teachers are left to their own devices, and trusted. The kids are more often than not wonderful to teach. Lots of free time and holidays.
Cons
Enjoyment can depend largely on where you're posted and the quality of the branch staff. These vary widely. Salary isn't great, but it's typical of this industry wherever you work. Little to no career opportunities. Wage increases are non-existent.
- Current Employee★★★★★
Pros
Free time to work on your own projects, overall nice students -that's it.
Cons
If you are considering either a stable, long-term job or a high-paying work, please, stay away from Interac. Consider this a short-term job ONLY to get into Japan. Let me elaborate a few negative points about Interac: 1. EXTREMELY low salary -Interac pays its full-time ALTs a below-the-market salary - approximately 190,000 yen after taxes. It is ludicrous to believe that someone can live with that amount per month in Japan, especially if you have a family to support. But the WORSE part of it is - Interac is paid 560,000 yen for YOUR services. That means that you are only getting 40% of what is paid for your work. 2. Useless trainings. 1x there is training and the content is just useless and a waste of time - they require 2h spent on training. 3. Managers show up out of nowhere to watch your classes. Usually, they come in 3 and tend to criticize you after the class. 4. Japanese coworkers tend to talk behind your back and they usually find a way to let Interac know. 5. Interac clearly states that you don't need to speak Japanese, only to tell you later that you do.

Pros
It's a fairly easy job to do
Cons
The salary isnt that high

Pros
They are the better ones from all the other dispatch companies. They provide training and help for those unable to speak Japanese.
Cons
It is a very luck based position. When you’re lucky then you would get good schools with good people and vice versa if you’re unlucky
- Current Employee★★★★★
Pros
they are professional and treat employees well
Cons
they can be slow to respond
- Current Contractor, more than 1 year★★★★★
Pros
Easy work Flexible hours Lots of vacation days compared to eikaiwa
Cons
Low salary Never respond to emails on time
- Former Employee, more than 1 year★★★★★
Pros
Generally a good place to start work in japan. There are monthly meetings and you get the opportunity to share your ideas
Cons
In the long term, not a good place to be with.
