I worked at J.P. Morgan full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Benefits are probably the only good thing

    Cons

Long hours, taking phone calls all day back to back with no time in between calls. It takes at least a year to move out of the customer service department but it’s not guaranteed you will get promoted. You are just another number here, they don’t care about you. If you need to call off work or have kids good luck, you always have to have some type of “segment” scheduled whether that be vacation, sick or personal time. This job is not very conducive for people with families. They score you on 4 different categories on your score card and constantly are hounding you about your numbers. You also have to talk with a lot of angry/irritated customers and you have to bend over backwards to help them even though you don’t want to. Take my advice and don’t apply here, if you don’t like call center jobs or talking on the phone this is not the job for you!
