I have been working at JetBlue full-time for more than a year

    Pros

I've never worked at a company quite like this one- culture is very, very, very important here, and it's at the heart of how the company operates. Anyone who enjoys aviation, or working for a challenger brand/disruptor, will love it here. It'll behoove any candidate to have a passion for working in aviation, and be serious about working with the customer in mind. The company is fairly young (19 years old) and still...

    Cons

As a whole, my only true qualm is the lack of work-life balance, which takes shape in a few different ways. Most of the work-life balance challenges I've seen are really just centered around the 24/7 criticality of airline operations. Those who work in IT support positions for operational systems should be used to on-call life. IT leadership has recently committed to re-engineering systems and processes to reduce the...

    Advice to Management

Install leaders that are ready to live the values, and trust the crewmembers underneath them.

I worked at JetBlue full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

The company itself gives back to the community, training you are set up with food, lodging and pay

    Cons

Managers never make it a point to get to know you (especially when you're brand new), 10hr "on-call" shifts that are unpaid

    Advice to Management

Get to know your crew (you wouldn't have a job if it weren't for customers and crew members), offer advice and reassurance, be present

I have been working at JetBlue full-time

      Pros

It’s a growing company that’s expanding. The company treats its customers and shareholders very well. Pay is okay. Due to the union, we haven’t received a new pay scale. Parental leave is 1 year. 35 hours is part time for the month 70 hours is considered full time for the month.

      Cons

The pay schedule, pay schedule, pay schedule. Unless you’re senior or been at Jetblue for a long time, have no responsibilities like rent or student loans then this is the perfect job for you. But at Jetblue you get paid on the 8 and 20. It’s about 3 weeks from the 20th - 8th. Meanwhile, other department get paid either weekly or around the 1st and 15 but we’re on the frontline and away from home spending more money....
