Just your typical struggling IT staffing firm. They let me go the day before Thanksgiving, citing "lack of business"—despite having bragged about all the demand they had when they brought me on. Take what they say with a grain of salt. Thankfully, I never stopped applying elsewhere, because it was obvious pretty quickly that the business wasn’t as booming as they made it seem. The culture is a classic “good ol’ boys” club, heavily centered around alcohol, and at the time I was there, there were zero people of color employed in the Charlotte office. There’s no training, no one-on-one support—they expect you to hit the ground running and start recruiting on day one. If you don’t deliver immediately, you’re gone. Letting someone go right before Thanksgiving says all you need to know about the level of compassion and professionalism.
