      Pros

Great people to work with (in certain teams). Appear to be trying to create a healthier work environment for people - from a work life balance perspective and also on the diversity front.

      Cons

Didn’t care much for racial diversity before it became “popular”. Long hours (as expected).

      Pros

High level work is within reach although not always most efficiently delegated through the function layers and priorities not always clear. Much work available but not enough people to do the work. Good pay but no work life balance.

      Cons

Poor communications overall, poor work life balance. Little coaching of juniors. No good (supportive) staff available to release lawyers from administrative tasks. Unclear company values and goals which results in mainly financial driven choices leaving excellent lawyers doing mind numbing work and unmotivated. Eat what you kill culture is tolerated.

      Pros

Great benefits and salary. Good offices. Good work life balance. Lawyers are top of their profession and Linklaters is a great name to have on the CV.

      Cons

It is a very modern firm in that its culture is such that white males in business services are second class citizens and far more likely to be overlooked for promotion. Bonus getting smaller each year compared to productivity of the firm. There is prejudice amongst some managers that an 'acceptable accent' is needed to advance your career. A blind eye is taken to bullying when it is done by women. Linklaters is a top law firm and many business services managers by default think they are too and can be very arrogant. It is the Lawyers are at the top of their profession not business services. They should remember that. Business services are mediocre at best.
