Pros
Pay if your lucky to negotiate a decent salary that reflects your experience. Benefits to an extent and that is about it. Oh and maybe you just get a good deal on some merchandise.
Cons
LONG hours......They want you working 10 hour days sometimes 4 or 5 days straight. No real accountability from upper management. No respect for HR at store level. Outdated computer systems does not help sales or processes for all store associates. Corporate is awful when it comes to relating to field issues. Lack of hours to give proper customer service on the sales floor. All corporate cares for is manage payroll at whatever cost. At that rate there is no wonder why they will always be number 2 behind Home Depot and eventually close there doors all together. I could not leave fast enough...

Pros
Work hard and it's easy to advance through the company. Be prepared to work long hours to prove your ability to work under a timeline. The moral is great and the employees are wonderful to work with.
Cons
Corporate Management... They have no clew whats going on. Mis-managed.

Pros
My colleagues were collaborative and provided support when needed
Cons
The holiday hours were long and when I had to help with unloading the truck it wasn't easy.

Pros
Initially, my team was the highlight of my job. I loved working with every partner and enjoyed what I was doing to support the company’s initiatives. Unfortunately, things took a turn for the worse due to new leadership that was toxic to our team.
Cons
If you're considering applying to a corporate position at Lowe's, I urge you to think twice. This company has a toxic environment and doesn't value its associates. They only give Thanksgiving and Christmas off, and you have to use your PTO to take off any other holidays. And if you think this policy will ever change, think again - Lowe's claims it's 'too expensive' to offer more time off. I worked at Lowe's for almost 2 years, and it started out great. Our leader was collaborative and encouraged us to do our best work. But after leadership changed, everything went downhill. The focus shifted to running the department like a business, and silent layoffs became the norm. Work/life balance became non-existent as we were expected to do more work in less time with fewer resources. I became obsessed with my work because it was never good enough. I sacrificed time with my family to work long hours and weekends to meet unrealistic deadlines. And despite my efforts, my leader never took the time to coach or develop my skills. Instead, I was constantly criticized until I was unexpectedly laid off, with my position eliminated and my termination effective immediately. But Lowe's didn't want to let go of me entirely - they encouraged me to apply for another position so they wouldn't have to take back my equipment. They wanted me to become a workhorse somewhere else in the company. Don't be fooled by Lowe's claims of being an 'Employer of Choice' - it's just a marketing tactic. Save yourself the stress and disappointment. Look for a company that actually values its associates and treats them with respect.

Pros
I know my schedule for the entire year, makes it easy to plan activities outside of work and can use minimal PTO time if I plan it right. I have complete autonomy to execute my own plans as long as company objectives are met. I really love what I do as far as helping customers find what they need to complete their DIY projects. Bonuses are decent as long as you hit sales and margin numbers. Employee stock purchase plan and stock grants every year. Sales goals are reasonable and obtainable for bonus plan.
Cons
Work/Life balance is pretty much non existent. Long hours and shift times flip flop throughout the week making it difficult to have free time with family. Only 13 full weekends off per year. As technology and procedures are updated it can be difficult at times to be able to take care of customers that have escalated issues that require solutions outside of the normal process.

Pros
An OK role for anyone who is just starting out as an HR Manager. Consider this job a resume builder and not much more than that.
Cons
LONG work hours and a work schedule that is not conducive to having any kind of work/life balance. Typical high turnover retail environment. One of my biggest frustrations was dealing with managers who had no sense of professionalism.

One of the better retail companies to work for.
Cons
It is retail so the hours can be long and not conducive to a good work life balance.

Pros
Provide a very friendly atmosphere, good pay, facilities are well maintained. An opportunity to improve one's customer service skills. Nice music to accompany the workday.
Cons
Stay true to the schedule both parties agreed on. Concrete floor is not sustainable for long hours of walking/standing due to concretes inability be shock absorbative.
