The Worst Is Yet To Come

Pros

The everyday angry CEO and non deserving CTO has been removed. The now-former CEO is still in office but without the title (ouch!).

Cons

The owner is still around. Why is it bad? He is clueless, doesnt know what's happening. But he likes to show off and pretend that he does. He lacks any management skills, worse off any IT knowledge but the company's products are all based on his grand vision. With product vision and features ONLY coming from him, that's step 1 to fail. There are still bad 'management' around. As the owner is so clueless, these yes men who cares about fame and their deep pockets continue to destroy the company from within. You wont get a shiny CV working here. Ask around. People will either talk about - the FORMER CEO's attitude, how he loves to talk non stop in meetings, or otherwise how he always just bark - the FORMER CTO's luck of being CTO when he clearly doesn't deserve it - a lot of former staffs that left angry ( A LOT!) - former staffs that won in court (you need to be wary of this) - bad products that cant work, empty promises - OR they just havent heard of the company!

Pros

They have Chinese lunch every day and annual bonus. People usually leave the company after they get the bonus.

Cons

This place is notorious in HK for being a bad employer. The only way you will succeed here is giving up your personal life to the company. Salaries were sub market at the time I was there. The quality of the management is horrendous. You will likely work OT because of some incompetent managers planning. You can make it if you are a yes man/girl and not afraid to step over bodies on your way to becoming indispensable. The "leads" fall into this category. As a new employee you will be expected to know your job already. People there were either too busy or unwilling to help. What put me off was the culture. CEO screaming at CTO in an open office, CTO demanding unreasonable things from other employees and so on. Do not join unless you are ready to take a high risk gamble with your career.
