There is no company in the world as bold, fearless, and unifying as Mac Cosmetics. It has been a trailblazer for every other cosmetics brand since it first came to be, and the company culture and community stands second to none.

I know across the board the company has struggled to adapt to the rapidly changing world of consumer behavior and the evolution of shopping in-person versus online. I hope they can find their transition into this new world of beauty smoothly and still uphold all the original values of Frank and Frank.

Pros
Excellent core range of products, so you feel good selling them. I’m my experience, if you have artistic skills they will be respected and appreciated, regardless of formal education. If you put in the effort, Your skills really level up on the job.
Cons
This isn’t a casual job. It demands you to be skilled, polished and attentive. It’s retail, so they care a lot about clocking in/out. I am still haunted by the phrase “you can always be cleaning!!” . The brand lost a lot of market share to Sephora and corporate kind of pressured the in store staff to do less makeup on the floor and sell more, which I hated. Morale had its ups and downs.
