I worked at Macy's full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Above Market Salaries, Inclusive Culture, Lead Developer and above are Bonus eligible, Some locations in Atlanta Suburb(Heard they are moving to midtown/downtown Atlanta which will be crazy) not bad for commute. Lot to learn on the technology front and you get to work with wonderful people.

    Cons

If you know Retail even a little, you should know it all.

    I worked at Macy's

    Pros

Working environment was alright, people were friendly. Coworkers were helpful and welcoming. The pay is good during the holidays

    Cons

Part time employees don't really get a choice of shifts, unless you have an understanding supervisor. I had to work weekends and closing. Dealing with customers can be tough so be prepared for the worst.

I worked at Macy's part-time for more than a year

    Pros

Not overly micromanaged, you can kind of do what you want as long as you're doing your job

    Cons

Hours/shifts, some shifts would be 3 hours during closing times and some weeks I was given 3 days- 3 hours= 9 hours total for the week.

  8. "Before the SF office closed"

    4.0
Former Employee - CRM Marketing Coordinator in San Francisco, CA

    I worked at Macy's full-time

    Pros

Great people: young, vibrant team. Opportunities for growth through constant conversations with your manager. Role was easier if you came from a startup and is stimulating for those who are interested in data. Regular All-Hands Marketing meetings allowed everyone to speak up and ask questions.

    Cons

Corporate is slow in making improvements and there is sometimes a disconnect between leadership in New York and the SF office. When the SF office closed, the managers and directors were also shocked like the rest of us.
