Pros

Pay is not bad. Some days are laid back. Lots of hands on experience. Good exercise every day. Company will send you to school if you commit to the apprenticeship program. Just a verbal agreement, no contract.

Cons

Some benefits: per diem, ride time, overtime can be a hassle to get. Mgmt is sometimes not on top of things like they should be and don't get involved in the field work enough. Progressing in the company can be difficult without inside help / friends and family.

Pros

I do not have many pros for this company. You know that they don't care about you when everyone is uncomfortable in the uniform but nothing gets done about it. Meh... Just wear it and sweat twice as much as you should.

Cons

Where to begin? Only paid for time billed out regardless of time actually worked. Working for "managers" who are there solely because of who they are friends with. Mandatory meetings out of town on the weekend with pay that doesn't even cover travel one way. 60 mile travel radius without pay. Different branches of the same company working against each other instead of together. Could go on all day.

Pros

We have full benefits, Paid time off, good pay for the Industry. I have been in the electrical field for 8 years. I have never work for a company that valued more insight and opinions as much as this company. Our management is structured as servant leadership, our management teams work for the guys in the field. I know that I can pick up my phone and get anyone in our company management, all the way up to our President, Danny Gibson. Our company is always engaging employees and giving options for continuing education.

Cons

The only thing that I can really say might be a downside is, that I may occasionally have to travel out of town for work and be away from my family. This rarely happens!
