      Awesome dental plan, and WRS

      Cons

      Safety, no management support, and managers who are unqualified for the job, and the only real safety support is at the Central location, so if you aren’t working in that location, you have to rely on MPD.

      Dynamic environment, diverse colleagues, provide valuable services to community. Lots of room to develop professional skills.

      Cons

      Salaried schedule fluctuates with nights and weekends necessary. Frequently work beyond 40 hour work week with vacation limitations. High stress and high output environment.

      Don't let their social media fool you

      Pros

      City health insurance was great, pension was great.

      Cons

      Terrible management. Terrible promotion and raise policies. Most of the librarians aren't actually qualified in their subject area. A lot of drama and gossip. Very little actual librarian work, we were often babysitters or unqualified social workers.
