Depends on the school you teach
2 Dec 2021 - Teacher in SingaporeRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
Salary is reasonable. If you get deployed to a school with good school leaders and positive school culture, you will be very happy there. If you don't like the current school environment, you can apply to other schools through open posting. Nature of the job is also meaningful (if you like to make an impact on young lives).
Cons
Long working hours; need to have very good time management skills in order to have work-life balance.

Colleagues are generally nice and supportive. General sharing culture because everyone is so overworked as it is

Avoid regent sec school at all costs. Overworked with unreasonable arrows being shot at you. Very very long working hours on average. Current principal and management interested only in KPIs not teacher welfare at all Don’t expect work life balance
