Pros

Some great people to work with. Typical startup type office goodies; e.g free drinks, snacks etc.

Cons

Mountains of technical debt in products; product teams are working to fix, but so much has been neglected for so long the technical debt is suffocating. Lack of capital to invest in resources to help product teams. e.g. insufficient dev environments, customer environments lack resources to operate etc... Leadership refuses to listen to common sense from staff. Lots of internal politics issues. Culture of blame and throwing colleagues "under the bus" to redirect the anger of the CEO to someone else. High turnover. Top talent doesn't stay long due to politics and poor leadership.

Pros

close to highway and gas stations

Cons

Company is in bad shape revenue wise. Has not made profit in years which has ripple effects like no 401 matching, no bonus, no salary hikes in years. Employee is the most neglected entity. Make him work years with zero increments. When it's time to appreciate the hard work... management joins the deaf and dumb club! Requirements are absurd, our dev team had low morale, some devs have insufficient skill-sets and qa team is below standards... Surprised to see some people thinking this company is in a golden age, probably for directors and managers. A product with no match for competitors, too simple for today's complex business needs.

Pros

There are some good people that you'll get to work with

Cons

Management overall doesn't care about the well being of its employees. They know of systemic problems and ignore them. HR is either not empowered to act on things, or it doesn't want too. Either way most people are unhappy and this is only a job for them. If given the choice many would leave in a heartbeat. Management also ignores the information given by employees, you're not empowered to do you job but told how to do your job, and most of the time what you're being told doesn't make sense. Oh and they are fond of ignoring major issues and acting like they don't exists, but telling others that everything is peachy.
