Spiraling downwards fast. Only accept if no other options are available

    Pros

    - Exposure to Fortune 500 firms and the professional services world - Will learn a lot quickly (sink or swim environment) - Sometimes get to work on interesting projects - Interesting/smart/kind young colleagues who are all equally dejected working there so it fosters a sense of camaraderie - Analytics training is provided to new employees

    Cons

    - Low compensation - Non-existent HR or internal support network which leads to inefficiencies - Not a lot of high-level analytics work being done these days, it's mainly reporting and BI grunt work - A common saying in the firm is "it's all gas", i.e. the company knows how to sell and deliver a good pitch to both clients and prospective employees but there's no substance behind it. Mu Sigma rarely successfully executes projects other than low-level 'analytics' (read: reporting) staff augmentation work -- even there it sometimes falters because of high turnover -- because it lacks the institutional expertise and organizational capacity to carry out major analytics projects. - The toxicity starts at the top. The CEO is a visionary who can be quite good at delivering a sales pitch but doesn't seem capable of human empathy nor the ability to take constructive feedback to improve the company. - No middle management to support and guide junior employees which leads to inefficiencies, shoddy deliverables, missed opportunities, and overall bad outcomes for the clients, employees, and the company. The company brags about the average age being just 23 years old, but the truth is you can't deliver high-quality work if all you have is neophytes googling how to do their jobs. - Unethical practices. Read other reviews for more info on this. - Ridiculously high attrition causes many problems. - Only join if you don't have any other option to get analytic experience on your resume, then start searching for an exit as soon as you start.

Good Company to start your career

    Pros

It's a good role to start your career in. They are very open to you learning knew things and growing personally. Projects are pretty interesting and you have say in which ones you want to get involved in.

    Cons

Pay is really low compared with a similar role in any other company. It's an on-site-offshore model so the mornings are very hectic with a lot of calls due to the time difference. Attrition is extremely high so you have to take a lot of hits with clients.

    Pros

    - met some incredible, driven, motivated people - was lucky and had very kind clients

    Cons

    - management is questionable. They make it clear they don't care about your growth, just money - upper management attitude is "you should be grateful to us. If you quit, it just means you didn't try hard enough" - no upward mobility

    Pros

I was in the PGA program. This was a great chance to get experience for a few years, which is how Mu Sigma is structured in general. You'll have a few people stay on for 5+ yrs but overall it's a young company built on continuous turnover. If you want to learn, gain good experience, and live abroad, I'd highly recommend.

    Cons

Mixed bag with managers and motifs. Hours can be a strain, especially if you are US West coast.

    Pros

Great opportunities, great people. This place has a lot of really smart and interesting people who are willing to help.

    Cons

The management is the worst I have ever seen. They had us on illegal visas in india. They on multiple occasions told us to stretch the truth to indian customs agents. They also didnt even reimburse a lot of my coworkers for the covid return flight which was expressly stated in all of our contracts. I initially wrote out a really thoughtful and critical message for this company but was unable to post it. Now yall are left with this garbage.
