Great part-time gig but no opportunity for growth.

Pros

Tons of skill-building opportunities, diverse and dynamic team of guides, great pay for a part-time job. Public tours are a blast 95% of the time. Flexible scheduling.

Cons

Little-to-no growth opportunities, no benefits for guides even though they are the "heart and soul of our business" to quote the founder. Ineffective marketing strategies. Inconsistent scheduling. New CEO focuses on corporate team building experiences, rather than investing in content creation and building the brand. Many employees who focused on the creative/educational aspects have taken their talents elsewhere.

- You will have a lot of freedom to work on projects that are interesting to you - Very strong on flexible hours + remote work + real responsibility - Supportive management team, "team of ninjas" approach to teamwork - Personal recognition for contributions, whether small or large - Colleagues are cool 👍

Cons

- With entire team remote, sometimes communication can be challenging (time zones etc) - Some systems still work in progress, but generally improving

-You get to work in museums! -Flexibility to work where and when you'd like -The entire team is super committed and amazing -Autonomy to complete your work -Quick to put ideas into action, never dull

Cons

-Lots of change. You have to be on your feet. -Remote work comes with communication challenges and with so much change it can be hard to keep up. -You have to be self motivated and discipline in a remote environment
