Pros

Initial atmosphere was fantastic, the knowledge I've accumulated is extremely vast in the space of time I've been working with MyCSP. Some definite personalities working there. Bonuses were nice when they were awarded.

Cons

Management don't know what they are doing majority of the time, even senior management are micromanaged to the point where their job roles are effectively pointless. Higher bonuses are paid to those who faces fit, rather than in actual merit. These are often downgraded upon moderation in favour of the whoever's friends of the right management. Majority of people hired have no pension experience, meaning they can hold salary costs down - much to the dismay of the union who campaigns tireless for MyCSP to hold true to their word. The blanket salary increase in January 2016 was pitiful. The statistics mapping and constant number has lead to a severe decrease in morale which in turn has lead to an exodus en masse, resulting in the remaining staff being overworked and under appreciated. Even Cabinet Office themselves are disgusted with the service MyCSP offer, due to staff incompetence and the sheer inability to seal with the volume of work with the little staff they keep within the budget.

Pros

Decent dividend payments. Flexi was a bonus until they took it off us.

Cons

Salary! HR department! Some of the higher managers are sexist and make crude comments. Only get on if your face fits, one girl was on her third lot of training as couldn't do the job yet exceeded in all her appraisals.

Pros

Lots of parking spaces available.

Cons

Manager treats you like a child No recognition on positive work Only receives negative comments Poor communications, as you don't get messages stating "hi i hope your well" and "good morning, I hope you had a great weekend". It is very micromanaged, when you make mistakes for each case (even very small ones) you receive an email stating with a big title "you failed this case". And shows you the mistake you made, and tells you or someone else who will also receive the email to fix it, then states at the bottom "this will be recorded against your accuracy rate". BTW its very easy to make mistakes with this job and they expect 98% accuracy rate, and if you are below it you'll get criticised for it. You will also have to start a clock for each case just to record how long you spend and you'll be doing 1000 cases per month. You have a 1 to 1 meeting each month with the manager and you will have to complete a sheet stating what you've been doing for the past month. The manager has a chart and will show your productivity rate (how many cases you've done for the past month) and accuracy rate. When you are in training you are not open to questions, as they will judge you on what questions you've asked. If you ask questions that seems simple or stupid to them they will write it down and critique you for it during the 1 to 1 meeting or they will purposefully put you behind in training. If you constantly ask questions to the people training you they will get annoyed by it and may blank you. So you will experience some sort of subtle bullying. These systems can lead you to having anxiety. And overall you are a robot to them not a human. The office is dark with no natural lighting. And all work is individual work, therefore people hardly talk to each other and you will not know everyone, even if you worked there for a long time. So spending 9-5 each day is dreadful. Very toxic work place Had to deal with gas-lighting and psychological abuse The training was very bad, they blame you for not knowing things and does not blame them selves. They don't show you how to do everything and expect you to know it. When you get the job, don't feel special about it. They are desperate and will hire anyone, as the staff turnover rate is very high and is very under staffed. Also, there are a lot of employees who are hired due to family or family friend, so there are treatment biased. And after all the bad treatment, you won't get a lot out of it financially. I see employees who worked there a long time get picked on for more work load and drives old broken cars. And if you do work there, don't bother putting in extra work and find ways to impress them, they will not care and they will not listen to your ideas. In the first month or two they will act like they care about you, but then afterwards they will show their true colours.
