Pros
If you like the outdoors, flora and fauna then this is the place to be with like-minded colleagues and stable pay.
Cons
If you are here for the plants and animals, you are probably in an ops role. And unfortunately that means 100% of your problems are people - about 80% are public and 20% management. Also, we are one of the worst paid stat boards and other agencies do like to step on us. We always end up doing other agencies’ work, such as safe distancing for town council during covid. We are also at mercy of a politician that is far too nice, which means we make too many exceptions for loud and noisy “friends”.
