Toxic Reporting Officers; Good Benefits
11 Dec 2022 - Assistant ExecutiveRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
Benefits are great in terms of bonuses. But typical of any healthcare industries.
Cons
Very EXTREMELY toxic reporting officers (RO) who are manipulative. The position I'm in have a very high turnover rate but upper management turn a blind eye on this because apparently the RO is "competent" regardless of the costs incurred in terms of employees quitting. Throw employees under the bus, give employees wrong and incomplete information and expects employees to do a good job, sits on a job for months and allocate the job to an employee but conveniently blames employees for not completing on time, etc. The emotional stress incurred is not worth it.

Pros
It probably pays well if you ask for a high salary when you join. It has good bonuses. That's what the 2 star ranking is for - the money. That's it.
Cons
Takes up too much time and is boring. Expect to work before and after work hours on a regular basis because of meetings starting as early as 7am or as late as 5 or 6pm and ending later than that of course. There are also events outside of work hours. Contract terms are 42h a week (which you would exceed with all those hours outside working hours), 4 days in the office and 1 day remote. There is not much of a workplace culture although the welfare team tries. Programme coordinators manage a programme on their own so colleagues you work with would not be of the same role. You may not like the personality of your reporting officer.
