Pros

Opportunity to learn how not to treat employees or run a business. Okay, I met some awesome people that I hope to keep in contact with.

Cons

1. Classless. Nexius has had a layoff a week before Christmas without severance. They have had all hands meetings and mass emails promoting Nexius love and collaboration. And now in the owners personal words the company is following a "selective growth" model of business operations to keep a float during times when all other telecommunication companies are sinking like a ship in a storm. 2. Zero Management to Employee Loyalty. Let's be honest here unless you're a good looking 20 something female employee or a good male friend to the owners you're not an employee but a contractor in their eyes. You're not valuable but expendable. The fact that Nexius has had 3 large layoffs in less then a year should tell how "valuable" you are, let alone how valuable Nexius is. The fact that when the owners decided to fire 15% of their employees to pad their own pockets for the holidays instead of; a. Decrease the 8 VPs, 10 Senior Directors or their own bonuses b. Fire the real contractors c. Not out source to Lebanon Should tell you have they have no love for you. 3. Liars. They strung me along like some dumb main character in a 40's film noir. Promising my job was safe. That a goldmine of work was headed in my direction. The next week, a week before Christmas, I was laid off to better follow the selective growth model. But according to the last email I received, an email blast from one of the owners, I'm appreciated and loved for my work.

Thank you for your recommendation on how to run our business; your review sounds to bear a lot of hard feeling. in 2015, we had to do layoffs and shuffle our staff to ensure we have the optimal team to run our business; this is never easy and we understand it left people with bad taste in their mouth I am answering your review a year later; because we recently decided to speak up about how well we are doing The changes we made have worked; Nexius is at record revenues and we were selected this summer as Supplier of the Year for our biggest client out of 5,000 suppliers Our prospects have never been better; while i can't say that about you, i can say for many others that were let go during hard times, the door is wide open for them to come back. We had dozens and dozens come back to Nexius to play an important role.

Pros

Great work environment, and nice health plan options. Employee Benefits are nice.

Cons

Massive company-wide layoffs with no prior notification. With-in one year, this company had 4 rounds of layoffs. When we asked to receive bonuses or merit increases, the CEO said that they only give wage increases with promotions. Human resources posts fraudulent posts on sites like Glassdoor so that they can maintain high ratings after they do massive company wide lay-offs.

Cons

Limited growth potential replacing well-paid employees with underpaid recent graduates highly political and often toxic work environment empty promises of raises based on work ethic out of touch upper management team who sees everyone as a number with a cost associated with it An extremely tough industry with a lot of fickleness in it, which is shown through managements indecision and lack of true direction.

We've been told that the Nexius culture has a lasting impression because it is so vibrant and inclusive. Our employees are certainly more than just a number and you will often see our executive team greeting employees in the offices by name. While we do hire fresh entrants with the purpose of training them in a new industry, there is no intention to replace those employees with experienced ones. In almost all circumstances, the experienced employees are the ones getting promotions!
