I have been working at Nutanix for less than a year

    Pros

High-trust environment, plenty of autonomy given to individual contributors to take on projects/lead initiatives. Much more an 'Ask for Forgiveness' than 'Request Permission' work culture (a core value is Bias For Action). Great career choice if you're looking to kick-on in your career and rapidly build your skill-base. Access to the tools and resources to do your role but no hand-holding. Here you can identify a way to improve the business, find people/tools to make it happen and kick it off with little fuss. e.g in my role, was free to perform 2x the duties in my job description within my first month because I could and would. Good pay and benefits, health insurance, equity, free food, drinks, snacks etc (classic high-tech). Perfect balance of start-up culture and enterprise structure.

    Cons

Not an environment for those needing close management or direction, wouldn't recommend unless you're self-driven and motivated to carve your own path/proactively look for ways to add value. Not a good early-career choice unless in a designated junior role. Can be jarring coming from a large corporate with rigid processes and structures and very clear remits.
