Pros
- Made lifelong friendships with colleagues - Depending on your boss, hard work is recognised - No culture of firing people just because they have reached a certain age
Cons
- Some senior managers focus too much on their own progression and reward, at the expense of their staff - Long hours, working till past midnight is the norm - Working OT is regarded as something admirable and to be expected if you want to be promoted - No real direction for the business from the senior management, there is a sense of them wanting to jump on to every "new" thing without weighing real benefits and costs for the business - A lot of time is spent on meetings when things could have been resolved simply through emails
